Top 5 Cooking Games Surge in Latin America: Q4 2020 Android Performance

The latter part of 2020 saw an interesting trend in the cooking game category on the Android platform in Latin America. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a snapshot of how five key players performed during this period.

My Cafe — Restaurant Game showed a strong finish in Q4 with downloads peaking at 90K in the last week of December, marking a significant increase from 36K at the start of the quarter. Weekly active users also saw a rise, hitting 261K in the same week. However, revenue displayed a more fluctuating trend, albeit ending on a high note with 40K in the last recorded week.

Cooking Diary® Restaurant Game, on the other hand, experienced its highest number of weekly downloads in early November at 80K, before dropping to 12K and then rebounding to 33K by year's end. Active user counts showcased a peak of 416K in early November, which then stabilized to 313K by the end of December.

For Cooking Madness: A Chef's Game, the download numbers were impressive, with a consistent performance over 80K each week, and a spike to 108K in the last week of December. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, with an increase from 803K to 830K over the quarter.

Nordcurrent Games' Cooking Fever: Restaurant Game saw a steady level of downloads, hovering around the 80K to 90K mark throughout the quarter, and weekly active users showed a similar steadiness with a slight increase from 618K to 612K by the quarter's end.

Lastly, SpongeBob: Krusty Cook-Off maintained strong download numbers with over 100K downloads at the beginning and end of the quarter, while active users experienced a slight dip from 551K to 570K over the same period.
